Recently, our Director of Content, Megan Krause was featured in two publications, SHRM and ClearVoice, discussing different aspects of content marketing.
SHRM, or The Society for Human Resource Management, is a professional human resources membership association which offers articles and education on issues pertinent to the industry. SHRM took on content from an employer perspective, writing an article on how employers can encourage their employees to improve the content they create.
Megan was quoted discussing the changing ways grammar can be approached in today’s world, saying, “I find the older generation tends to get stuck on rules…You can now end a sentence with a preposition, such as ‘This is something I won’t put up with.’”
ClearVoice, meanwhile, brought together several leading experts to discuss what content marketing really is and how to go about it.
This article quotes Megan saying, “Content marketing is not writing about your brand constantly — ‘look at us, look at what we can do, we’re the best.’ It is creating helpful, valuable content that solves your target audience’s problems and otherwise adds value to their lives. Aim to follow the 80/20 rule. Talk about yourself and your solution 20% of the time. And the other 80%, provide users with high-quality content that serves their needs.”
At Investis Digital, guided by experts like Megan, we know true success in digital communications comes from aligning values with target audiences, and offering them content they are really looking for and that holds meaning for them. Brands that can articulate their values and story through their content will be able to better connect with their audiences, and align in deep ways, leading to positive outcomes.
