Recently, The World Health Organization’s World Mental Health Day took place, this is a day designated by the organization to increase awareness around and investment in mental health. Especially during uncertain times of disruption such as the ones we face today, the need to support mental health efforts, and encourage good practices when it comes to wellness, is more important than ever.
At IDX, we have previously written about how employers can uplift their employees during difficult periods, and know that the value of such an investment goes far beyond one day’s worth of work. We know that it is not enough for a brand to have a good product or service, but that it is crucial that business underly their work with meaning and connect themselves, their employees, and their offerings to the values at the core of their efforts.
This is why, when our client Jardine Cycle & Carriage, inquired as to whether we would be able to help them rebuild their website, dedicated to their charity supporting mental health, we took on the work pro bono.
MINDSET: The Jardine Matheson Charity for Mental Health is a charity that supports the mental health community in Singapore. There are four key areas the charity focuses on, awareness and outreach, to combat stigma, “Back to the Workforce,” to help integrate those in need back into professional life, social enterprise, to support mental health clients and social service agencies, and, fundraising, to raise funds for mental health social service agencies and programs. Through the efforts of the Jardine Matheson Group of Companies, over 41,000 hours of service work has been done and over 7.5 million Singaporean dollars donated and committed toward mental health work.
Sustainability and the championing of mental health are two core tenants of the Jardine Cycle & Carriage, and all of the Jardine Matheson Group of Companies. At IDX, two of our core values are “Inspire Greatness” and “Bring Passion,” making us perfect partners to help our client bring their charity site to life. We worked closely with PR agency Weber Shandwick, who helped with creating the content for the site and brand guidelines, and built a new, responsive website on our ID platform and powered by our Connect.ID solution.
Mental health is a topic that is gaining importance and support throughout the world, and it was our pleasure to help add positively to this trend.
