Instagram will be releasing a “Shop Page,” which can be found under the Explore tab. This page will showcase different brands and items that can be purchased by users. Instagram will also be personalizing these recommendations for users.
As Instagram continues to expand as a shopping platform, and works to have a more seamless purchasing experience, brands should continue to consider how their performance marketing budgets can include the social platform. Instagram currently has in-app purchases enabled and allows products to be tagged in posts, and with this latest addition, continues to grow as a viable marketing and purchasing platform.
